Inc. the North East Masters Athletics Association Open XC Relays Championships
& the North Eastern Counties Cross Country Relays Championships

(UNDER UKA RULES, 2024/1323)
NEMAA medal presentations will take place after completion of race 2, in the school gym. Don't forget, we'll have a selection of hot drinks, cakes and snacks (card payments accepted) as well as your goody bags.
NECAA medals will be presented as each winning team crosses the finish line

Could all officials and Birtley members please park at the rear of the school buildings. All other athletes and visitors, please follow directions of marshals, and also consult the map given in the Race Day Info, thank you.
NO DOGS ALLOWED ON SCHOOL SITE (GATESHEAD COUNCIL POLICY)
Unfortunately due to rising venue costs there will be a £2 parking fee for all vehicles - cash only please!

Teams of 3, two laps of 1500m          £18.00 per team

RACE 1 10.00 - Male masters M35-44, M45-54, M55-65, M65+
All athletes must be first claim members of North East Counties clubs

RACE 2 11.00 - Senior women/masters women W35-44, W45-54, W55-64, W65+
All athletes must be first claim members of North East Counties clubs

RACE 3 11.50 - Senior & U20 Men (no U17s)

PRIZES: Note team awards will be presented on the day, full results/individual legs may be produced on the day dependent on time

Race 1:- NECAA awards to first three teams, medals will be collected on finish line. NEMAA medals to first team in each ten year age category and fastest legs in each five year age category, presentation will take place in school after race 2. 

Age must be declared on the online team declaration form (link will be sent out following receipt of entries)

Race 2:- NECAA awards to first 3 senior women`s teams and first three masters teams overall, medals to be collected on finish line. NEMAA medals to first team in each ten year category and fastest legs in each five year age category, presentation will take place in school shortly after completion of race.

Race 3:- NECAA awards to 1st 3 senior men & U20 mens teams, medals to be collected on finish line (NB No U17s allowed)

RACE CONDITIONS: Teams must be declared at least 20 minutes before the start time.  If possible, pre-declare teams using the declaration form link above (not essential, but very helpful!) 
Age group prizes will only be awarded in declared master's teams. NECAA awards to first three masters teams in race 1 and 2, regardless of age category, and awards to first three seniors teams in races 2 and 3.
Athletes may downage - team category is based on youngest athlete in team, but natural age group teams MUST be declared

Age category must be specified on declaration sheet
First claim runners only
Strict colours rule UKA 143 S1 (3)
Seniors must be U20 and over, U17s are not eligible for NECAA prizes.
The promoters will accept no liability for any loss or damage to equipment and clothing or for any injuries while competing.

NB IN GATESHEAD SCHOOLS THERE IS A STRICT NO DOGS POLICY WITHIN SCHOOL GROUNDS.

We welcome all ages and abilities from 7 upwards.  Young or old, fast or slow, everyone is welcome. Come along any Tuesday or Thursday at 6.45pm for a taster session and see if you can catch the running bug!
