important information - please read

Please do NOT enter the building wearing spikes. The gym floor is made of wood - all spikes must be removed at the door to avoid damage. 
Please pay close attention to marshals, whether race marshals or parking marshals - they all have important information to convey and if you don't listen, you'll miss something important!

parking - £2 per car

Please pay attention to the car park marshals on the day and follow their directions. Note the site entrance and exit are one-way only, please do not attempt to enter through the exit gate (bottom of the map shown below). There is onsite parking for approx. 250 cars but we would encourage everyone to car-share whenever possible. Further parking is available offsite along the side of Birtley Lane - please park considerately. Please bring the correct change (£2) wherever possible to speed up the parking process, thank you.

Number collection and team declarations

Please submit your athletes names before the day if at all possible using this link (which you should have received by email). Declaration sheets and pens will be available in the registration area of school gym for any last minute changes (entrance opposite the grassy hill which leads up to the start/finish area of the race course). Numbers will also be available to collect from this area. Please bring your own pins! IMPORTANT - PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE GYM WITH SPIKES.

club tents

Club tents may be placed on the field in the area within the left hand loop below. Please remember this is a school playing field - take all your litter home with you afterwards!

refreshments

Birtley AC will be providing tea, coffee and various snacks (cakes, biscuits, meat pie(!), etc.) at very reasonable prices. These will be available within the gym - please remember to remove your spikes before coming in for a drink, or send someone else in for you! 

toilets

Toilets are available within the PE block. Please be respectful and leave them in the condition in which you find them. Remember, paper towels should NOT be flushed as this will block the system, resulting in no toilets for anyone!
