North East Counties XC Championships Dec 10th 2022

Despite a frozen course (and freezing weather), Birtley athletes represented the club well at the North Eastern Championships. Under 11 girls Poppie Phillipson and Izzy Hall led the pack with gold and silver, whilst under 13 girls Olivia Murphy, Nell & Kitty Graham continued their winning streak with gold, silver and bronze + team gold. Special mention to Adrian Bailes with a fantastic fourth place finish in a very competitive field (this coming shortly after his third place finish in the Carlisle-Brampton 10 mile in an impressive 49:42, a massive PB).
