After the great success of our Xmas 5k & Fun Run in 2019 & 2021, this year thankfully we can do it all again. A 3 lap route (1 lap for the Santa fun run) taking in the fabulous Bedale Park & the woodland trail of Keepers Walk.
The Santa Run will take place at 9:00am and all the little legs will get a Xmas hat to run in and a medal at the end. We encourage everyone to dress up, parents can run with their child for free. Click here for more details

After the Storm stopped our Event at Chopwell Woods in 2021 we are back in 2022 for our Christmas Event where friends & family get together for one last run before the celebrations begin. We have an 8 miler for over 16’s which is one big loop of this fabulous woods, a 4 miler for anyone over 11 wanting a quicker blast and a Santa 1 miler for anyone aged 3-11. (Adults can run with their child for free)
There will be a Wooden medal, mince pies, chocolate, nibbles and a drink for all finishers. There will also be event t-shirts to purchase on the day. The Woods is the perfect venue for a Christmas Trail Run on the last weekend before Christmas. Get your entries in quick, every year is a sell out!! The Fell em Doon Festive 5 km is our main race of the year. Its on a flat course, which is good for beginners or advanced runners. Festive medal, Technical Running Tee, Goody Bag, Sweets, Water. This new event at Kirkharle (birthplace of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown - known as England's greatest gardener, or the Shakespeare of gardening) is a wild trail run of 10k taking place in the local countryside around the beautiful hamlet of Kirkharle.
Chip Timing will be used on this accurately measured route. All finishers will receive a well-earned Hot Chocolate, medal (and an optional race T-shirt available at an extra cost) You may get muddy but you'll enjoy a warm Northumbrian welcome! Click here for more dateils The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run is a charity run and walk organised by The Rotary Club of Skipton Craven. Starting at 1100 on Sunday 27th November 2022, on Skipton High Street, this is a precursor to the Christmas Lights switch on later on in the day. The event takes place with the support of Skipton Town Council.
In addition to many of the runners’ own charities, the main beneficiaries this year will be Sue Ryder Manorlands, local Skipton charities and Rotary charities. The run follows a 5km course around Skipton, through Aireville Park and Skipton Woods. A shorter (3km) walkers and wheelchair friendly route, again starting on the High Street, takes in a circuit of Aireville Park. Now in it’s 8th year, this challenging course takes in some of the toughest climbs and best views in the area, as you work your way up back roads, farmers’ fields, fords, moors and woodland – adjacent to the Swinton Estate near Masham. We are a charity – so you won’t find any swanky gifts or flash prizes for entering our race. But we do want to recognise your support, so our kind sponsors donate a range of modest prizes. Please note this years prizes are yet to be determined. As a community run charity, we want to make our events accessible to all, so we keep our entry costs low. Click here for more details Coxhoe Trail Run - 8th Successful Year Running A scenic route full of interest and undulating over old railway lines and quarry paths between Coxhoe and Kelloe in County Durham. Start at Public byway (Coxhoe Hall), enter the path leading to Old Kelloe Way and follow the signposted Limestone LinX route (loop-shaped), ending back near the start point.
For more information click here Like many other races, after a two year hiatus thanks to Covid, the Essity Prudhoe Miners five mile road race returns this year.
The race is England Athletics licensed and will take place on closed roads on Sunday 18th September, starting and finishing at Eastwoods Park. Entry is open to anyone aged 15 or over. Because it is an affiliated UKEA race it will count towards athletes Power of 10. There is also a separate 2km race for 7-14 year olds. It will include some upward flat sections; as anyone from Prudhoe will tell you, it’s impossible to go for a run without hills round here! EA affiliated adults get the usual £2 discount off the adult race entry fee, and there will be prizes for the first three male and female adult finishers, including a fabulous first prize from one of our sponsors, a pair of the latest Scott Road shoes. There will also be prizes for the first male and female in the junior race. All finishers will receive a commemorative gift (spoiler alert – it isn’t a t-shirt this year) and a cake. Several local clubs have included the race in their Grand Prix this year, so we expect places to go fast. The Great North 5k kicks off the Great North Run weekend celebrations in style on Friday 9th September, on a fun and fast 5k route on the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside.
