Steelworks Relays, Consett 19th May

The event will be a relay race and will take place on the former Steelworks site in Consett.

• Relay teams will consist of 3 runners with each runner completing a single lap (runners must be16 years or over).
  
• All teams will be mixed teams of 3 seniors of any age category (at least one female and one male runner).
  
• Race HQ will be Blackhill Club.
  
• Race fee will be £12 per team to be paid on the evening of the race.
  
• The route is a challenging 2.1 Mile circuit on paths & trails with some steep slopes!
  
• A shield will be awarded to the winning team.
  
• We can accommodate a maximum of 50 teams, 5 per club
  
• Race numbers will be provided on the night, but we would ask that clubs confirm their final number of teams by May 5th.
  
• Parking will be at Blackhill Club which is about a 5 min walk to the race start.
  
• In previous years we have provided a buffet but due to Covid we aren’t able to do that this year. However, we will be providing a pie (Meat or Vegetarian) and a special commemorative bottle of local beer to celebrate our clubs 35th birthday. Please let us know with your team entries numbers for either a meat or vegetarian pie per runner.
