Birtley AC have been invited to provide 3 teams for this event (full details below) - if we are oversubscribed, participants will be chosen by the coaches or team captains. If you wish to be considered for a place in the team, please add you name here.
Invitation from Blackhill:- It’s that time of the year again where we return to our roots on the former steelworks site and hold our relay event and post race festivities in Blackhill Club.
Birtley AC will pay for the first event in these prestigious championships - you only have to pay for any additional events you wish to enter. Our online entry, including your free event, can be found here. Any athlete who does not compete on the day and does not have a valid reason for this will be required to repay the entry fees to Birtley AC.
NB Please take notice of the following NECAA rules:- Any competitor who achieves a place in a Saturday final but does not take part in that final without giving a valid reason to the Chief Track Judge may be debarred from competing in any event on the Sunday. [UKA Rule 115 (3)] Athletes may compete in the Championships of only one County Association in any one calendar year. In order to be considered for selection for the Inter County competitions, athletes must have entered the NECAA Track And Field Championships. This year for our club Track and Field Trip away day, we are going to Lancaster and Morecambe AC Open Medal Meeting at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre, Lancaster LA1 5JS. The club (Birtley AC) are providing free coach transport to the venue which has events for U9s through every age category to seniors (that includes masters athletes too, no excuses!).
All we require from you as athletes is to inform your coach if you are coming, and book how many seats you need on the bus by clicking HERE; finally click HERE to go their club website, enter and pay for your chosen events before the closing date of 27/4/19. NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY except 3000m (close at 14.30) This will be a great fun day for both kids and parents - don't miss out on the chance to actually enjoy a bank holiday Monday without having to drive the family somewhere. (Plus the kids will be entertained whilst travelling!) |
