The Good Friday Relays on Friday 19th April 2019
Run under U.K.A. Rules. Licence No. 2019-37532

  • HQ & café at Gateway House, Newburn Riverside. Newcastle. NE15 8NX.
  • THIS IS A POSTAL ENTRY EVENT ONLY. Closing date TUESDAY 9TH APRIL.
  • Senior races no’s 4 & 5 are limited to 100 teams in each race.
  • No late entries taken on race day.
  • Start line is 200m away from HQ.
  • Parking is available, follow directions. Drivers park their cars at their own risk.
 
Under 11’s: Race 1. 9.15 am. Combined U/11’s Boys & Girls Race. 1.16 miles. ENTRANTS MUST OVER THE AGE OF 9 ON THE DAY OF THE RACE AND UNDER THE AGE OF 11. 1st 3 individuals to receive a medal. £2 per athlete.
 
Race 2. 9.25 am. Combined U13’s Boys & Girls race. 1.6 miles. Entrants must be under 13 years old on the 31st August 2018 to qualify. £3 per athlete.
 
Race 3. 9.35 am. Combined U15’s Boys & Girls race. 1.6 miles. Entrants must be under 15 years old on the 31st August 2018 to qualify. £3 per athlete.
Awards for Races 1, 2 & 3: 1st 3 individuals & a 1st team award (3 to count).
 
Race 4. 9.45 am. Senior & Vet Women’s Relays. 2.2 miles
A minimum age of 15 years old on the day of the race
Female vets must be aged 35 years or over on race day.
Teams of 3 to count for team awards
Awards to the 1st 3 Senior Teams & the 1st 3 Vets Teams
Awards to the fastest lap for a senior, an O/35 and an O/50
 
Race 5. 10.55 am. Senior and Vet Men’s Relay race. 2.2 miles
A minimum age of 15 years old on the day of the race
Male vets must be aged 40 years or over on race day.
Teams of 4 to count for team awards
Awards to the 1st 3 Senior Teams & 1st 3 Vets Teams
Awards to the fastest lap for a senior, an O/40 & an O/50
 
NOTE: Races 4 & 5: Vets can run in a senior team. Seniors cannot run in a vet’s team.

  • £20 per men’s team. £15 per women’s team  
  • Registration WLL NOT BE OPEN UNTIL 8.20 am at:
  • Gateway House, Newburn Riverside, Newcastle. NE15 8NX
·        On the day: Please scribe clearly, your declared team entry sheets as:
·        Incorrect details could lead to disqualification.
·        Women’s Race: Hand in team sheets before 9.30am
·        Men’s Race: Hand in team sheets before 10.35am


  • ALL presentations.
  • At our HQ - Gateway House. NE15 8NX
  • All Junior races from around 10.30 am
  • Senior races 4 & 5 at around 12.30 pm and:
  • The fastest athlete on the day will receive the Alex Burns trophy
 
  • Respect the building amenities.
 
  • Parking. Follow the marshal’s directions. Do not park your car in an area that is open & being used by the property owner.
 
  • DO NOT PARK ON GRASS VERGES AND DOUBLE YELLOW LINES.
 
  • YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. DOING SO PUTS THIS EVENT AT RISK.
 
  • Elswick Harriers accept no responsibility for loss, damage, clamping or fines.
 
  • The club reserves the right to amend the race & awards.
  • All athletes compete at their own risk.
  • All spectators watch the event at their own risk.
