On the day info:-

• Car Park FREE, There will be an overflow area. No drop off arrangements for club tents.

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE MAIN SPORTS CENTRE.

• TEAM MANAGERS ONLY collect club numbers in the room opposite the Gymnastics Centre (nearer the course) at the Temple Park Centre before 12.00. Either one male/female or both to collect team envelopes.
• TOILET FACILITIES will be situated on the course.
• START FITNESS will be in attendance.
• FIRST AID and a lost children area will be at the FINISH (1st Aid Tent).
• No refreshment sales.
• Please can all clubs ensure the venue is left LITTER FREE.
• Individual PRESENTATIONS will be made immediately after each race. Team presentations – listen for announcements. Approx. 12.15 U13 and U15, 1.15 U17 and U20. TEAM MANAGERS TO COLLECT TEAM AWARDS UNCOLLECTED. 
  
• ALL 2022 CHAMPIONSHIP INDIVIDUAL and TEAM TROPHIES TO BE RETURNED TO THE PRESENTATION TENT BY THE FINISH, CLEAN AND ENGRAVED ON THE DAY.

ANYONE WEARING THEIR NORTH EAST HARRIER LEAGUE NUMBER WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE DISQUALIFIED.

UKA RULES
Club vests must be worn (5.3).
Numbers worn as issued, not folded, cut or mutilated (5.9).
Headphones of any description are not permitted in any cross country event (5.6).  
Spitting at any time is not permitted, Conduct Warning or Disqualification (18.5) may result.
All competitors are requested to complete the medical template on the reverse of their race number.

INTER COUNTY SELECTION
Club secretaries should forward the contact details: name, address, email, mobile number, of the first 10 in each race (first 15 senior men and women) and any athlete of county standard who missed the championships, before December 31st to the team managers:

PLEASE NOTE THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS FOR RECORDS ONLY. THE FIRST 10/15 FINISHERS ARE NOT GUARANTEED SELECTION. THOSE SELECTED WILL BE NOTIFIED FOLLOWING A SELECTION MEETING ON JANUARY 28th AFTER THE NORTHERN CHAMPIONSHIPS AT SEDGEFIELD (Jan 27). Note the Inter County Championships will be at the Wollaton Hall, Nottingham on March 9 th . Current form at the Northern Championships be taken into consideration. If athletes are unable to run the Northern Championships all other cross country races will be taken into consideration, only if the selectors are informed, especially the Sherman Cup and Davison Shield and NYSD fixtures.

NEMAA have the privilege of hosting the BMAF XC Championships for 2023 at the Rising Sun Sports Ground. As we are fortunate enough to have these national championships taking place on a local (and challenging!) course, we hope to see lots of Birtley members competing and claiming as many BMAF medals for the region as possible! Lots of opportunities for our over 35 athletes to grab both individual age group medals (in 5 year age bands) and team medals (10 year age bands), and they're gorgeous (pic below), definitely worth getting your entry in for a rare chance of a national medal on local soil!

This is a popular local relay race and one which Birtley have done well with in the past - we would love to see a big turnout for this. Entry form and entries list at bottom of this page.
We need SIX runners for the senior/vet 40 men categories and FOUR for the vet women/vet 50+ men, so let's have lots of names down please!
Closing date is 4th February - all payments MUST be received by then or your entry will not be made. No exceptions.

This is an opportunity for all masters from our club to win a British Masters medal - on local soil which doesn't happen v often! You DON'T need to be a member of NEMAA (though if you aren't - why not!) and it's a great chance to run against athletes from all over the country, in your own age group, and have a fighting chance of a medal at the end of the day! Plus a possible team medal if there are at least three of you - don't even have to be the same age group.

The series begins on 9th (track) and 10th (field) of November, with all events taking place at the Gateshead College Indoor Centre at Gateshead Stadium. Entries can be made here, with closing date for the November event being this Sunday, so get your skates on if you would like to sharpen up your T&F skills over the autumn/winter period!
Further meetings will be held on 7th/8th December, 11th/12th January and 8th/9th February.

This is an invitation to all our U11 athletes to take part in a non-championship XC race at Temple Park on 10th December. The race will take place ahead of the main races, and entry is £2 (club will refund athletes who have competed on the day).
